Sorry we haven’t been able to check in as much as we would have liked. It’s been a busy week here in McMurdo Station gathering all of our gear for the field.
We’ve gone on plenty of hikes and Tyler even played in a softball tournament to kick off the New Year.
Today we’ll be riding in a helicopter across the Ross Sea to the Royal Society Range, which are 14,000 ft mountains that we can see from McMurdo. We’ll be working at the base of those mountains to figure out the history of the ice sheet following the last glacial maximum. I can’t wait to share what we’ve found!
I’ll send updates on Twitter while in the field, so keep an eye on that!
