Back to the States

Many apologies for the lack of posts this season! Understandably, there’s not much bandwidth in McMurdo, and I often wasn’t able to even load the WordPress site. In the coming days weeks, I’ll add some updates and photos from McMurdo Station and our field season in the Royal Society Range.

I’m about to hop on a plane back to the northeast, but here’s a photo of our last field site, Hobbs Glacier, to get you excited for the coming updates!

The foot of Hobbs Glacier with a view out to the McMurdo Sound. Mt. Discovery, named after Robert Falcon Scott’s ship, can be seen in the background. The blue patch at the end of the glacier is an ice-marginal lake.
